R13

Close to a year ago now, I sat down to browse one of my favourite blogs Style by Kling and almost fell off my chair when I spotted Elin Kling in R13′denim and leather chaps. I instantly had to have them! After scouring the internet for what must have been hours, I was left feeling dejected – they were sold out everywhere!! But guess what? They are available again on shopbop and despite the rather hefty price tag I just ordered them. Looks like I’ll be ebaying some of my less amazing pieces to pay for them… In this case, its a trade-off I’m more than happy with x

Effortless

To the Victoria Beckham fans reading this, you may want to stop because what I’m about to say may offend you…

I JUST DONT GET HER STYLE! I don’t get it. She always looks so damn uncomfortable trotting along in the highest of high heels strapped into straight jacket level tailoring, taking teeny tiny steps because that is all her hemline will allow. Are you doubting me? Fine – for evidence look here and here.

I know this blog is usually about things I do like, which leads me on to celebrating the humble tee as part of my Back To Basics movement. Side note – Can it be called a movement, if it only involves me? Mmmm, maybe not. Anyway, I’m not a big believer in suffering for fashion, and I believe the best looks can be achieved with a loose-fit cotton tee. Sorry VB, but you could look just as good in a slouchy tee and jeans AND be comfortable, walk normally, bend down… You get my point.

Elin Kling For Guess By Marciano

Elin Kling, the latest blonde bombshell to attract the attention of the Marciano brothers, recently announced her latest collaboration with Guess by Marciano. While Guess is not usually on my radar – in part due to only seeing their accessories line here – I am actually quite curious and a little bit excited! I mean, when has Elin ever let us down?! Available in the Fall, the capsule collection was inspired by matadors and the femme fatale qualities of their campaign archives… I’m certainly intrigued. How about you?
