A Hidden Place

BeciKat1

When I heard that Beci Orpin and Kat Macleod have a collaborative exhibition at Lamington Drive, I kicked myself for living so very far away.

Beci Orpin has been a bit of a design idol to me for a while now. Her use of colour and shape creates some very fun and quirky artwork. And then Kat Macleod‘s effortless use of pencil and collage is simply gorgeous.

Together they take you to ‘A Hidden Place‘. And what a lovely place that is…

Open now until 25 May at Lamington Drive – 25 Keele St, Collingwood, Australia.

Sea Change

It is pretty rare that a whole week goes by without me posting a thing. Is moving house a good enough excuse? After a pretty hectic week, we’ve finally moved into our new apartment, which we’ve waited 3 years to be built since apprehensively signing on the dotted line. Coming from a 3 bedroom house in the burbs, it feels like a novelty to be living back in the city. Something to be said for minimal living…

You’re Invited To…

Despite being months off officially launching, I am hosting a ‘soft’ launch of sage x clare this weekend to give friends and family the opportunity to view and shop a selection of our inspiring products. I know many of you lovely followers live around the world, but to anyone in Melbourne this weekend, I’d love you to drop in! xxx

The White House

I’ve been a long-standing admirer of Lyn Gardner, of Empire Vintage and The White House, for her signature aesthetic and this week I was lucky enough to work on a shoot in her home. There are very few homes you enter and could seriously imagine yourself living in, but this house was certainly one of them. I couldn’t resist taking some sneaky snaps (on my iphone -sorry!) and sharing this magical home with you x

Twiggy

It isn’t every day you get to brag about your family and truly mean it… But in this case, I truly truly do. These super cute ‘twiggy bits’ are designed and made by my Dad and creative partner, Neats. How clever are they?! Made and painted by hand, each one is like a little piece of sunshine – they seriously make me happy just looking at them! They have been selected to appear in The Design Files Open House‘ event (which I blogged about here) and will also be available via my online store once it is launched.

The name for these beauties? Twiggargerie. If there is one thing Neats is good at (besides the obvious), it’s her knack for coming up with cute made-up words…
