Isn’t it funny? I enjoy the spectacle of New York Fashion Week as much, if not more, off the runway and on the streets… Some of my favourite moments so far x
With the speed that fashion trends come and go, it can often leave you staring hopelessly at your wardrobe saying the most common statement known to women worldwide – “I have nothing to wear!”… Well, that and “nothing’s wrong, I’m just tired”.
Happens to me regularly, which is rather frightening considering I need a whole room to function as my wardrobe (I’m actually cringing as I write this)… Anywho, I’ve made it my goal of late to get back to basics – think denim, knitwear, loose tees, leather, and that classic blazer. And, I realised the style I admire most on people usually involves these basic ingredients. So, here is some denim inspiration to get you started…
Did I really just suggest wearing the things you already have?! Wow… that’s impressive x

With MBFWA coming to a close a whole week ago, I’m a little bit slow on the uptake here. Hopefully better late than never right?! Call me a cynic, but many of the photos snapped under the general banner of street style seem a little too try-hard at times. It feels like so much time and energy is exhausted on sporting the right look, the coolest trend, that the beauty of fashion and ‘street’ style gets a little bit lost. So, rather than post snaps without thought, I chose these images for their intrinsic sense of authenticity – no backward caps here!

Kind of loving this latest trend for what it could mean to my sleep time. Already I’ve cut down my morning routine considerably by eating breakfast in the car while also awkwardly applying my face of makeup – irresponsible I know! Now I can get dressed the night before. All I need is a pair of heels and a statement clutch and I’m done. Fabulous!
