It is pretty rare that a whole week goes by without me posting a thing. Is moving house a good enough excuse? After a pretty hectic week, we’ve finally moved into our new apartment, which we’ve waited 3 years to be built since apprehensively signing on the dotted line. Coming from a 3 bedroom house in the burbs, it feels like a novelty to be living back in the city. Something to be said for minimal living…
Beaming x x x

As we rolled into Byron Bay in a 70′s kombi van for a four day getaway, I knew it was going to be a great few days. Sleeping in a kombi with the back opened up to the sounds and beauty of one of Australia’s best beaches, listening to chilled out tunes, feeling the energy of crashing waves, and swimming with dolphins – I felt nothing but absolute contentment.
After 2 blissful days there, we headed to the beach with a hired surfboard, hoping to muck around and teach ourselves how to surf (or should I say simply stand up!). As I sat there literally thinking that life could not get any better, my boyfriend of fours years pulled a ring from his boardies pocket and asked me to marry him. Oh my goodness! Without a moment of hesitation, I said “Yes!”
Not only did it take me by complete surprise, but I am still beaming from the miracle that a great man wants to spend his life with me. Me?! And I too want to spend mine with him.

Special thanks to Graeme and Brooke who lent us their much loved kombi for what was to be one of the most special weekends of my life.

Love And Light

I got through almost 27 years of life without breaking a bone or spraining an ankle. Until last week.
At the risk of sounding saccharinely optimistic, isn’t it amazing what you notice when you’re forced to slow down (read: cannot walk)? The light, the beauty of colour, and those small miracles of nature. Starting to limp along now, but with a refreshed view of my surroundings.

Lucky Me
Been a little MIA lately, but now you can all see what I’ve been up to! Chris and I launched our homewares and accessories business on Saturday to friends and family, which was a great success. It was so much work for one day, but all the lovely people that made the effort to come meant that it was fun-filled, positive, and inspiring. Such a relief! There is always that anxiety, when you host an event, that nobody will care to come and you’ll be left standing on your lonesome amongst food and drink aplenty. So seriously thank you for saving us the embarrassment!
Would like to especially thank Susan and Clare for lending us their yoga studio for the day (you really must check out this magical yoga studio if you haven’t already), my Dad (who seems to be eternally helping me move things from one place to another), our family for their reassurance and support, and all the friends and family who came to view, shop, and give us their feedback.
To anyone that couldn’t attend or lives afar- the online shop will launch in March.
Love xx
