As if we hadn’t fallen for India enough, our recent six weeks there just deepened our love for this complex, maddening and inspiring place. I can’t say what it is, but I am addicted. We sadly left Jaipur after spending day in day out with our suppliers and friends, who become somewhat of a second family while we’re away. From our supplier, Bharat, who tells us all our designs are “Marvellous!” (what an underused word that is) to our newly made expat friends in Jaipur, our time in India was incredible.

Of course, in amongst long days working, we found an early morning to do something exhilarating – hot air ballooning over the Amber Fort and surrounds… Exhilarating doesn’t really even do this justice. Magical, astounding, stunning, thrilling – nope words just don’t cut it. In a country of over a billion people, to see India from the air away from the honking horns and hordes of people, is simply unforgettable. We took off near the imposing Amber Fort, before flying over the surrounding Aravalli ranges and villages. This I will certainly never forget! If you ever make it to Jaipur, make sure you do this (details below)…

We’re now in Istanbul on the hunt for kilims, pestemals and other treasures – with a few apple tea and turkish delight breaks along the way. We’ll keep you posted!

Much love xx

Hot Air Ballooning with Sky Waltz in Jaipur. Thank you Richard for a wonderful flight!

After a particularly hellish week involving all nighters, house-painting, my other half ending up in hospital for five days, and moving house (phew I cannot even believe all this happened in one week!), Bali welcomed us with the peace and time out we so desperately needed. More or less collapsing on arrival, after a full night’s sleep we dove into the spiritualism, hedonism, and rejuvenation that this island so wonderfully offers. Returning home only made bearable by the launch of Sage and Clare and that we’ll be returning next year to get hitched! x

Country Life

I recently spent a few days down in Cornwall with some pretty amazing chickens, pigs and cows, the world’s best dog and a pretty lovely boyfriend too. I don’t know what it is about that part of the world (south west coast of the UK) that is so special, but the train ride back up to London always makes me want to turn right round again and find myself a sunny patch of Cornish coast to spend my days…

Sea Change

It is pretty rare that a whole week goes by without me posting a thing. Is moving house a good enough excuse? After a pretty hectic week, we’ve finally moved into our new apartment, which we’ve waited 3 years to be built since apprehensively signing on the dotted line. Coming from a 3 bedroom house in the burbs, it feels like a novelty to be living back in the city. Something to be said for minimal living…
