A couple of months ago, following the release of Megan Morton’s latest book ‘Things I Love‘, I very nearly blogged about it. But having not seen the newly published book myself, I resisted, expecting it to be yet another interiors book that leaves you feeling underwhelmed.

So why am I blogging about it now? Well, on a shoot last week, I finally got my hands on this book as it sat pile high with other titles ready for propping. Stalking this book all day and awaiting a spare moment to flick through its pages, I was amazed when I found it to be so much more than a simple coffee table book. Bursting with hands-on tips, super cute postcards, uplifting images, and just that little extra Megan Morton magic, this book will be a sure favourite on my bookshelf.

If you’re feeling at all lacklustre right now, get yours here. It will leave you with feelings of cheer and light. Promise x

Margiela Mayhem

Who partook in the madness of Margeila for H&M yesterday? Finally released after much anticipation, it seems the collaboration launch was not without the standard website crash, the overnight queues, and the crazy that seems to come out with a limited edition designer collab at affordable prices (no judgement – I would lump myself into this category too).

I was bang on time, jumping on to their website and breezing through the initial stages of adding to my cart – I was almost disappointed at how easy it was appearing to be. I mean – why hasn’t the website crashed yet? Mmm… spoke too soon.

It all went wrong at the most important sealing of the deal – payment. After failing all my security questions (what the hell – that was my cat’s name!) my card was officially blocked and I was left to deal with the devastation. I then called my bank in a state of hurried panic – apparently shopping on H&M is not an urgent matter and the call centre was closed. What the hell? What kind of self-respecting bank has calling hours? And who doesn’t understand the urgency of this situation?

But then, a glimmer of hope… turns out the trusting folk at H&M will send out your parcel with a payment slip inside. Seems too good to be true – who sends you something and trusts you to pay later? But then, the website CRASHES. Great.

With some seriously persistent refreshing, I won out and this oversized pea coat will be mine! Had to sleep in this morning after my night of adrenaline-filled fun and dismay (what a rollercoaster) but I woke up feeling that little bit more satisfied that next winter I’ll be strutting around in my dream coat.

Twiggy

It isn’t every day you get to brag about your family and truly mean it… But in this case, I truly truly do. These super cute ‘twiggy bits’ are designed and made by my Dad and creative partner, Neats. How clever are they?! Made and painted by hand, each one is like a little piece of sunshine – they seriously make me happy just looking at them! They have been selected to appear in The Design Files Open House‘ event (which I blogged about here) and will also be available via my online store once it is launched.

The name for these beauties? Twiggargerie. If there is one thing Neats is good at (besides the obvious), it’s her knack for coming up with cute made-up words…
