One of the most difficult parts of styling is to make the simple look amazing. And that is exactly what the latest Elizabeth and James look book has achieved! Can’t get enough of the washed out vintage colours, the cropped jeans, the sloppy sweats, and the very on trend cotton sneakers. Inspiring!
Love the forest green colour and silhouette of this latest purchase. The leather is unbelievably soft! But, what I love most about it is that I bought it off a very friendly man in… Dharavi slum! He invited me to enter a room – off a tiny alleyway in the heart of the slum – which opened out into a showroom that held a treasure chest of the most amazing leather jackets, skirts, and dresses. Sometimes you can find your fashion fix in the most unusual of places…
I can be kind of fussy when it comes to jewellery… which is why I was so pleased to find these new everyday additions to add to my Georg Jensen fusion ring. The tiny and fine knot ring is worn on the knuckle (love that!) and comes from blogger Sincerely Jules. The other comes from my recent travels in India and I love how the individual rings move. Jewellery is my favourite treasure to bring back from traveling – everyday I’m reminded of the magic of India just by looking down.
While I’m preparing myself for the onslaught of fluoro and all the things blindingly bright, I can’t get enough of whites and creams. There is something so warm, glowing, and cosy about Glamour Magazine’s February 2012 shoot. And, sometimes you just have to stay true to what you are…
